The Island House’s Artist Residency Program is a testament to their enduring dedication to fostering our vibrant artistic community. This new initiative is set to elevate the local artistic landscape by providing a platform for four exceptional creatives to experiment and showcase their talents.

Meet the inaugural, 2024-2025 cohort:

Internationally acclaimed jazz virtuoso Giveton Gelin

Talented producer-selector Wilfried Haslauer (TAO LUMIN)

Classically trained opera and pop vocalist Danielle Lee

Versatile drummer/R&B singer Jermaine Taylor (J-Tay)

Through this residency, these artists will not only grace TIH spaces with regular performances but also co-curate exclusive content that offers an intimate glimpse into their creative processes and inspirations. Additionally, they will lead workshops and masterclasses, sharing their expertise and nurturing the next generation of local creatives. This collaborative effort ensures that the legacy of Bahamian artistry thrives, enriching our creative ecosystem.

We are excited to witness its positive impact on both our resident artists and the broader creative ecosystem.
